Alarming Incident of Elder Abuse in Mexico City

A woman identified as Erika Vázquez has been captured on video while attacking a 70-year-old woman and her husband in the Gustavo A. Madero borough. In the images shared by journalist Carlos Jiménez, Erika can be seen slapping and hitting the elderly couple. The attacker claims she was being attacked first.

"I DON'T GIVE A F... ABOUT ELDERLY PEOPLE," Erika is heard saying while hitting the woman and her husband. The alleged daughter of a public official also claims to be protected by her father, who is said to work in the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City (CDMX).

The video shows the elderly woman cornered by Erika, while her husband records the scene with his mobile phone. After the attack, the husband intervenes, asking Erika to stop, mentioning that his wife is ill. At no point does the attacker seem to respond to these requests and continues her violent behavior.

Authorities have not yet provided official information about this incident. The origin of the conflict that triggered the aggression is unknown, and there is debate about whether Erika Vázquez is truly the daughter of a public official as she claims. The situation remains unclear and raises concern in the local community.
